TASTES AND BELIEFS WILL CHANGE, BUT THE WAY WE REACT TO, OR INTERACT WITH, THE WORLD AROUND US, OUR CORE CONCEPTS OF WORK AND REWARD, FORGIVENESS AND ACCEPTANCE, ARE SUNK DEEP AND SPREAD WIDE. I COULD HAVE BEEN GOOD TO HER. I KNOW THAT. I MADE HER TRULY HAPPY AT TIMES. BUT EVERY COUPLE MUST EVENTUALLY COME UP FOR AIR AND LIVE TOGETHER IN THE LARGER WORLD AROUND THEM. OUR PATHS THROUGH THAT WORLD WERE NEVER GOING TO BE ALIGNED. THEY WERE ONLY MEANT TO INTERSECT BRIEFLY. IT’S A SHAME. That’s kind of like why me and Tim broke up. He was a huuuuuuuuge jerk and he slept with my friend who isn’t my friend anymore and I hope he dies. Because he sucks. I DON’T THINK THERE’S NECESSARILY A PARALLEL GOING ON THERE.
